We were privileged to collaborate with BLUE Missions, a clean water charity, on our latest project, "The Water Below Us." This endeavor aimed to raise awareness of local water issues in Florida through a captivating public art installation. Our team, founders Kevin Arrieta and Nicolas Vasquez, designed an elevated "well" that allowed visitors to immerse themselves and gain insight into water movement in Florida. Additionally, we crafted a tailored water cycle illustration depicting Florida's unique hydrology.
Seeking to enhance the project's educational impact, we envisioned an augmented reality experience to activate the installation. Teaming up with The Sunken Blimp, we brought the Florida Everglades to the City of Coral Gables, enriching the viewer's experience through creating animated photo moments as well as recreating the well in 3D where users can learn about each cycle and it’s threats + solutions!
Collaborating on our inaugural public art installation with BLUE Missions was an immense privilege, allowing us to create impactful work and harness the power of art and technology. We extend our gratitude to The City of Coral Gables for their support in bringing this vision to life in one of Miami's most frequented pedestrian areas.
Thank you to Blue Mission’s Creative Director, Leslie Ramos, for believing in us and trusting our team to execute your vision. Thank you to Sunken Blimp for bringing the project to life in a new way through augmented reality, and to our build partners over at Miami Design Shop for building and creating this collective masterpiece.
