We're thrilled to share a glimpse into one of our most heartwarming projects to datea collaboration that Celebrates creativity, history, and wellness.
This Black History Month, VACO Studio joining forces once again with @lululemon for a project close to our hearts- the opening of the Teach The Truth Community Garden in the historic neighborhood of Overtown, Miami.
Dr. Marvin Dunn, in collaboration with the Miami Center for Racial Justice, is pioneering the Teach the Truth Community Garden in Historic Overtown, aiming to nourish both body and mind. This initiative not only provides fresh vegetables to residents in need but also serves as a vital educational tool through the distribution of books that celebrate black history.
At the garden's opening, Dr. Dunn shared his insights on the importance of truthful historical education and his aspirations for the garden and the broader community. His commitment to enriching lives and preserving history is an inspiration, and we eagerly anticipate the wisdom he will impart. The event also featured a community meditation combined with a historic walking tour of Overtown, further deepening our connection to this rich cultural heritage.

Our journey doesn't stop here. Over the next three months, Lululemon will host a variety of bi-weekly sweat and wellness events, open and free to the community. From yoga sessions under the Miami sky to workshops that nurture the mind and body, this space will be a catalyst for communal health.
The grand opening was a day to remember, filled with stories, smiles, and the shared joy of community. Our team made sure to memorialized the moment for attendants with branded stickers, signage, brochures, and other colleteral that offers a self-guided history tour of Overtown, allowing everyone to explore and appreciate the rich heritage of this vibrant community.
